Sensei Derrick Proctor

Chief Instructor, 4th Dan Black Belt

Sensei Derrick has been practicing Shotokan Karate for over 30 years, training under both Sensei Phillip Dingman and Sensei Terry. A former Manitoba Provincial Champion, he has represented Manitoba at the Canadian Nationals numerous times, both as an individual competitor and as a member of the Manitoba team.

With over 10 years of teaching experience, Sensei Derrick is dedicated to sharing his knowledge and helping students develop both their karate skills and personal confidence. He is also a member of the ISKF Instructor Training Program, continuing to develop his technical knowledge and teaching skills.

Sensei Terry Proctor

Senior Instructor, 6th Dan Black Belt

Sensei Terry has been practicing Shotokan Karate for over 50 years, beginning his training under Sensei Phillip Dingman at his club on Albert Street. Throughout his career, he has represented Manitoba at numerous provincial and national competitions, earning medals at both levels.

With decades of experience as both a competitor and instructor, Sensei Terry has also helped develop numerous Provincial and National Champions, sharing his knowledge and passion for Shotokan Karate with generations of students.
